Mumbai: This Year independent cinema is set to receive an international spotlight at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, where the Indian Panorama International Film Festival 2026, in association with Wings To Bollywood Entertainment Sales Company, will present its special anthology “The Indian Spotlight.”

This year, the festival is taking Selected Indian filmmakers and their films to Venice, Italy, for a physical screening at the VPG- Market during the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.

The Indian Spotlight anthology features:

  1. Flower Of Life — Directed by V. R. Bhagat & Produced By Mr. Mohit Parmar & Ms. Sanjana Parmar
  2. The Nightmare of Bembi — Directed by Tenzing Pukhrambam
  3. Pahado Ki Goonj — Directed by Vaibhav Rawat
  4. Pure Water For Every House — Produced by Surendar Singh And Directed by Devendra Shivaji Jadhav

The initiative aims to create a bridge between Indian filmmakers To the global film industry, giving selected Indian films an opportunity to reach international audiences, film professionals and industry representatives.

The Indian Panorama International Film Festival is presenting these films as a special Indian showcase at 83rd Venice International Film festival 2026. The festival’s participation focuses on bringing independent Indian stories to an international platform through a physical market screening in Venice.

The initiative is founded by Vikrant More, who is Also known as King of Film Festival, his work Is To promoting Indian filmmakers and creating international opportunities for independent cinema.

Before the filmmakers travel to Venice, the festival is organising a special Felicitation and Media Interaction Programme in Mumbai on 28 August 2026.

The event will take place in Andheri West, Versova, Mumbai, and will include a felicitation ceremony, media interaction and one-to-one press conferences with the participating filmmakers.

The programme will highlight their individual journeys, their films and how their work is moving from India to an international cinema platform in Venice.
